How do you manage crowds for sensory sensitive children?
Is anyone else looking at the lines at the airport and all the people waiting for hours and finding themselves thankful that we are not traveling anywhere . The noise the smells and crowds would send my kids into panic mode . How do you manage crowds in your family ?

I braved the Easter show yesterday and was really worried about how my daughter would do with all the sounds and crowds as in the past she has not been ok with this. Surprisingly she did really well. We took earmuffs to help her and she only used them a little bit. She even was fine with the fireworks to have no earmuffs. I did constantly tell her days in advanced what it would be like.
With great difficulty- prep, visuals, play game on phone so something to concentrate on, headphones, fiddle toys, sunglasses, hat (restricts peripheral vision I think)
I avoid mostly as much as I can. I hate the aftermath!
I mostly avoid crowds LOL we have a neurodiverse family of 7, kids 5-11. Crowds aren’t our thang haha
