Put yourself first and embrace self love

Putting yourself first isn’t selfish. Each day when we put our needs last we are broadcasting to our children, our family that our needs and wants aren’t as important as theirs. Trying to do everything for everyone else and not Taking time out for myself has led to me feeling so burnt out! Doing this constantly can lead to resentment and that’s not healthy for anyone! As parents we can lose track of ourselves, our identity. I think we need to take time out of our daily lives to do something that is just for us, that gives us a sense of fulfilment, to work towards our personal goals, to feel inspired by life. I believe happiness isn’t something we can just tick off the bucket list- it’s something we need to work at every day. What’s one thing you can do today that is just for you?

Just for me? I’m really working on the basics atm. The hygiene I want (like facial care), sleep hygiene, diet. With five under 6 I really haven’t had the time or emotional energy to do this stuff so I’m hoping I can slowly change

woah! I work in Early childhood education and I can’t imagine having 5 under 6- it would definitely be hard finding any sort of time for you, but I’ve learnt it’s just so important to carve it out when and where you can- is there anyone that can help in any way? Sounds like you know what your goals are which is important- sometimes it feels like one big mess… hope you are having a good weekend ♥️
