Desperately needing some respite

So for the first time in.. I don’t know how long hubby and I organised a weekend away. Just the two of us. I was invited to a very special epilepsy event (our son has refractory epilepsy) in Sydney overlooking the opera house. I bought a new dress/shoes the lot. Nice motel in darling harbour booked with a yummy breakfast. Tickets to the disability expo. It was going to be so great… but mostly just looking forward to reconnecting with hubby. Sadly covid has destroyed our plans - our daughter returned from a school camp yesterday and within half an hour was deemed a close contact 😞 today is starting to show symptoms. So had to cancel everything. No one’s fault, and of course happy to stay home with our daughter - just so disappointed..

Life loves to throw spanners in the works right?! I know you will miss the 2 events, which is disappointing. Could you possibly tune in online to the epilepsy event. Maybe give them a buzz or email to explain and see if they can offer anything. When you rebook, you will be able to wear your new dress and shoes and plan some other fun activities with hubby 🥰 Make sure you reschedule now so you don’t forget and get caught up in busyness. Look after yourself and I hope your girl recovers quickly xx

I totally get it. I hope you can reschedule the time away together. It's so important to do things to reconnect/stay connected whether that's with our partner, family, friends and even ourselves xxx
