Not wanting to bath
So my daughter is on another bathing strike. This has been intermittent for years and I’m 100% over it lol. Sigh. Is this a challenge others have? We always find new and creative ways for hygiene but gosh I wish she’d just love it hahaha

We had this and for us it is still an issue but we just give plenty of notice and say what time . Ok you have to have a shower today before 8pm and a few gentle reminders and if they haven’t gone in before 8pm on their own their is one more warning and then they can’t have their iPad any longer , this seems to motivate them to get in the shower on their terms
My daughter was the same but in the last year she has began to really enjoy having a shower. As soon as we sit down for dinner she says I’m going to have a shower soon.
I hear you it’s a process …… that involves lots of strategies like no tv / iPad at night till after shower, interaction & distraction during the shower we play I spy or guess what animal I am, listen to Spotify super loud to drown out the sound of the shower (has to stay in the shower for 3 whole songs & clean self for one) she writes on the shower with bath chalks how much she dislike the shower ……… don’t even start me on hair washing ………. I often don’t even battle it she likes the iPad at a local just cuts & I pay $12 to get her hair washed here every 3 weeks 😘
