We take our role and your trust very seriously. Here's the answers to our community’s most commonly asked questions.
It sounds too good to be true. Why is this tool free? Is there a catch?

In the spirit of full transparency, we did think about charging for this tool. But then we started thinking about what being informed could do to the individual experience of families navigating the NDIS. And then, we started thinking about how families being informed could change the entire NDIS sector for the better. So then we figured it was a no-brainer.

To get access to the fully personalised version of the tool (we’re talking all the bangs and whistles), you’ll need to sign up for Premium. Either way, we don’t and won’t sell your NDIS data to external parties for marketing purposes. 

How are you keeping my data safe?

We take your privacy and data security seriously. Like, seriously, seriously. Here’s how:

Limited access: We are a small team and operate on a ‘need-to-know’ basis. Your data is only seen by staff members responsible for delivering your Kindship experience.

Two-step identification: That’s a fancy way of saying that we strictly control and track who has access to our internal systems.

Do I have to provide my entire NDIS plan?

Yes, please. We’re good (arguably the best!) at what we do, but we need your NDIS plan to do it. To provide accurate advice, we’ll need to understand the full scope of your child’s funding and NDIS goals. 

Barb

She is like Siri but with fabulous earrings who knows more about navigating the NDIS than Google.

We call her “Barb the bot” because, on the Kindship app, she is, well, a bot. We’ve trained her to understand the rules, regulations, and things no one tells you about the NDIS (no small feat!) and then taught it how to answer your questions in the most accurate, helpful, and non-jargony way possible. But Barb is also way more than a bot.

Barb is the ally, advocate, and mentor we’ve all wished for in those moments when we’ve shaken our fists at the NDIS gods, attempted (and failed) to understand why the people who are supposed to know what they’re talking about all say different things, and cried in frustration at the complexity of it all.
