Needing any help advice on school refusal. Mr C is 8yrs old asd, gdd, sensory issues and non verbal. He has always loved  going on the bus to and from school. Last month he started refusing to go on bus. I said ok I will drive him, now he’s refusing that. He is at that stage that I can’t just physically move him. It’s meltdown city everyday. Removes school uniform when I put it on. He has always been such a happy kid. I’ve spoken to his aide and teacher. Even the lady on the bus that rides with the kids. Nothing stands out to me. Could this be a need to medicate thing because he is about to start puberty?
He is awake from 4am every morning. Im trying to catch up with things until midnight most night so my body is wrecked for lack of sleep. We get no family help, my partner drives trucks so isn’t always here. Even he has tried taking him to school, but meltdowns still occur. We have a daughter too who is asd also and I worry how his behaviour is affecting her. She’s quite intelligent and loves school. Any suggestions in regards to school refusal pls!!!! 🥹
