Where families navigating disability find connection and support.
They deserve connection.
They deserve understanding.
They deserve people who truly get it.
Community has always been at the heart of Kindship.
Today, thousands of families across Australia connect through Kindship — whether that’s through plan management, our community spaces, free webinars, or practical resources designed to make navigating disability a little less overwhelming.
We’ll happily sing from the rooftops that parents are the best advocates for their children. The challenge is making sure they have the support, tools and information needed to feel confident sitting in the driver’s seat of their family’s disability and NDIS journey. Because when parents feel supported and empowered, the ripple effect reaches the whole family.

Kindship began with a question.
Summer, Kindship’s founder, was working as a speech pathologist supporting children with developmental delays and disabilities. As she spent time with families, something became increasingly clear. She could see the support available for children, but wondered who was supporting the families.
To better understand what families were experiencing, Summer spoke with hundreds of parents and carers across Australia navigating disability.
The same themes came up again and again. Families felt isolated. Overwhelmed by systems. Expected to figure things out on their own. That’s when the vision for Kindship began to take shape.
Not just as a service, but as a community built alongside families. Summer often talks about searching for the heartbeat of Kindship, and quickly realising it wasn’t a program or platform. It was the parents and carers themselves.
Their lived experience, shared knowledge, and willingness to support one another became the foundation of everything Kindship would grow into.
