About us
Our vision is a world where families are supported and people with disabilities get the support they deserve.

Kindship founder story.
Our story started with a passion for parent advocacy and a dream to change the world.
Growing up with undiagnosed autism, our founder, Summer Petrosius, recognised and wanted to do something about the isolation and its impact experienced by families living with disabilities. So, she started talking to parents - literally, hundreds of them, and those conversations led her to Sandy Golder, Steph Wicks, and Tara Thompson, the women behind some of Australia's most engaged online parent communities.
Together, they share an unstoppable passion for helping families navigate confidently and advocate for the support and care they deserve.

Why Kindship matters.
Well, because our parent community and their children matter. YOU matter.
We’ll happily sing from the rooftops that parents are the best advocates for their children. The challenge is giving them the support, tools, and information needed to feel confident sitting behind the driver’s seat of their family’s disability and NDIS journey.
What exactly that looks like will be different for each parent, but we believe it all starts with kindness, friendship, and kinship. In other words, “Kindship!”
